On February 16th, it was time for K2 to set on a big adventure! Everyone packed their bags, said energetic goodbyes to family, and boarded the bus to head to Niigata where snow and skiing awaited.
Everyone was absolutely buzzing with excitement, and we made one final stop before heading up the mountains. It was the perfect opportunity for a group photo!
The sight of the beautiful mountains had everyone shivering in anticipation, and we boarded the bus one final time before finishing the drive and arriving at our destination: ski camp!
A yummy curry meal was waiting for us when we arrived. It warmed us right up and prepared everyone to step out into the winter wonderland that awaited. All the kids changed into their snow and ski gear, and took off for the snow!
Our first activity was snow play, and it set the perfect mood for the beginning of our time here. Snow angels, snowmen, forts, and snowball fights galore soon followed!
Next up, it was time to strap ourselves into our ski gear to begin the ski lesson. First up, a few stretches to get everyone limber and warmed up. Now we were ready to begin!
The ski instructor was very friendly, and carefully explained what the sport of skiing, the rules, and how to stay safe when wearing skis. All of K2 listened carefully, and when the lesson was finished, it was time to put it into practice! It was now time for everyone to give skiing a try on their own.
Some of us fell, but we got right back up again! It was new and a bit challenging, but K2 had huge smiles on their faces as they glided over the snow.

It was so much fun, but soon it was time for dinner. After a hot bath, everyone headed down to the buffet that was waiting for everyone to enjoy.
The food was delicious, and all our plates were loaded with tasty fish, meat, vegetables, and even dessert! K2 had a blast getting the opportunity to go up to the buffet and pick out what they wanted to eat with a little help from the teachers. Dinner and the Night Party ended the night, and everyone went to bed satisfied and happy with the adventures of the day.
The following day was another day full of fun and excitement, where we joined the other Little Garden K2 classes for some more fun in the snow!
Unfortunately, after hours playing in the snow, our wonderful time in this winter wonderland was drawing to a close. We had one more yummy meal after packing our bags, full of talks about all the fun we had.
With our stomachs and hearts all full, K2 boarded the bus one last time. It was the perfect memory to end all the happy years we spent at Little Garden!
