March: Of Festivals and Memories

2024.03.25

March is always a big month here at Little Garden Kashiwanoha! It is a time to celebrate the slow coming of spring, and the school is filled with crafts of flowers, butterflies, and, of course, cherry blossoms!

Our month begins with our highly anticipated Hinamatsuri party! It is an absolute favorite of the children and our school always feels a little brighter around this time of year.

From Star to K2, the school is absolutely full of beautiful crafts. They add a pop of color, a dash of whimsy, and a whirl of festive flair!

The most anticipated event of our party has to be partaking in traditional Hinamatsuri snacks. However, before that can happen, out comes the origami—we have to make our snack bowls first!

After it’s all done, it’s finally time to partake!

Mmm, so yummy~!

March is a big month here at Little Garden International for another reason as well, and it is one that is both a happy and albeit sad occasion:

K2 class’s graduation!

This month has been a time of reflection, recalling all the wonderful and happy memories we made with everyone this past year as well as their entire time spent here at LG. Many of K2 has been here since Star or Nursery. We have seen them go from cute little toddlers to strong elementary schoolers!

From summer camp…

to ski camp…

… to our time spent in the classroom!

We took the time to remember all the fun times we had this year as we all prepared for graduation.

Just look, everyone looks so good in their graduation robes! Of course we had to take a silly class photo to commemorate!

You can be sure that there was not a dry eye in the room when the graduation ceremony commenced. We are all so proud of K2 and their accomplishments this year. All the teachers here at Little Garden Kashiwanoha are so happy, and also a little sad, to send such amazing children off into the world!

The day was full of many fond farewells and, of course, unbridled excitement for the future.

It’s time for the adventure to truly begin!
