When it comes to school field trips, many students and teachers favor visiting the local zoo as a unique educational experience that has something for everyone, especially children.

The trip to the zoo was the preschoolers’ first school trip. I could see how excited the students were about the zoo field trip.

After about forty minutes of driving, we arrived at the zoo. The weather was warm and sunny. Fortunately, the zoo wasn’t too crowded. There were also students from different schools, a family with their children, and a group of elderly people.

When we entered, we saw various animals, both big and small, such as cheetahs, deer, gorillas, giraffes, various types of birds, flamingos, lions, zebras, elephants and others. The elephant was standing but not moving as if it had no strength. The students wondered if the elephant was okay.

We also visited the monkeys. Some of the monkeys came to the edge of their cages while looking at us as if showing off their talent. There were many bars for the monkeys to climb. The students were amazed by the group of monkeys and even compared them to the monkey family, Daddy monkey, mommy monkey, brother, sister, baby and of course the grandpa and grandma monkey. It seemed that the monkeys had captured their hearts.

There was also a monkey that was alone in a separate cage and didn’t move, seemed indifferent and just scratched its body the entire time we were watching. The students asked why the monkey was alone in the big cage? Why wasn’t it put in the monkey family’s cage?

Moving forward, we saw a water fountain with some children playing in the water. The preschoolers wanted to play but unfortunately they couldn’t because they didn’t have any spare clothes.

Finally, it was lunch time. The children were so excited. They took out their lunch boxes and proudly showed their classmates and teachers what they had prepared and proudly announced who had prepared their food.

After lunch, we cleaned up and got ready to go back to school.

On our way to the zoo, the students were talking loudly and non-stop, but on the way back to school, almost half of the students were asleep and the rest were just sitting quietly, looking very tired.

It was an interesting and enjoyable day out of school.

In conclusion, going to the zoo is a great experience for students to learn about the natural world and better understand animals. It is good for developing important skills such as observation and curiosity.
